NetSource is pleased to announce that our Chicago area datacenter is now SSAE 16 Type II, SOC1, SOC2 compliant. NetSource completes an annual audit to ensure compliance. The audit was performed by an independent auditing company specializing in SSAE 16 Type II audits for datacenter providers. The SSAE 16 Type II audit now replaces the SAS 70 Type II audit that NetSource held up until this time. SSAE 16 Type II audits are considered the new standard for datacenter compliance after June 2011 and contain more specific control testing for datacenters than the older SAS70 audits provided.
The new SSAE 16 Type II audit means that NetSource implements a tested set of processes and controls at our datacenter, including security procedures for all our clients. NetSource’s tested environment is setup to handle enterprise hosting needs where items like HIPAA, SOX, and PCI compliant hosting may be required. SSAE 16 Type II (Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements) will be an audit that NetSource performs annually.
NetSource’s SSAE 16 Type II audit brings NetSource up to date with new international service organization reporting standards. The migration from SAS 70 to SSAE 16 provides international companies doing business with NetSource confidence that our service organization shares a similar level of standards with them.
NetSource’s Chicago area datacenter has been providing enterprise level hosting services since 1995. The services include colocation, dedicated, managed, and now cloud hosting services. The newest SSAE 16 Type II compliance helps NetSource maintain a high level of service to our customers. Please feel free to contact NetSource at 630-778-1212 for additional questions about this audit or any other information you may require.
Thank You.
